Rob A.A. van Overbruggen Ph.D, uses his expert knowledge of Neurolinguistics (NLP) , TLT and Hypnotherapy to help clients use their minds to influence the healing process.
Rob was born in 1972, in a small town in the south of The Netherlands. His early education was in the field of Software Engineering, where he learned to identify patterns and distil commonalities from different viewpoints. To satisfy his desire to understand the mind, he began studying Neuro Linguistic Programming, working with timelines, and Hypnotherapy in 1993. A few years later, he decided to study psychological influences on the cancer process. After 12 years of study, he has finished with his dissertation: Healing Psyche - Patterns and Structure of Complementary Psychological Cancer Treatment (CPCT). In his dissertation, he identified overlapping patterns from different psychological approaches to cancer therapy.
During this study he also got aquinted to METAMedicine and started his study of that field in 1998.
He identified the psychological patterns that influence the cancer process.
Rob holds a Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and is an internationally licensed Hypnotherapist, NLP, and TLT Trainer. He is the founder and director of Mexion, a company specializing in therapy and training. He is the director of therapeutic research for Healing Psyche, and is responsible for bringing METAMedicine to the Netherlands.

Richard heads up the international training of META-Medicine® and is the author of the book ‘Why and I sick?’ – ‘What’s really wrong and how you can solve it using META-Medicine®’. Since early childhood where after the divorce of his parents and subsequent death of his mother from metastasised breast cancer, he has felt a deep connection with finding the answer as to why did this disease strike down the most important person in his life at that age.
Having lived through the trauma of his mothers struggle to beat the cancer, seeing her go through a mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, secondary tumours and her eventual acceptance of her death from a distance; Richard was cared for by his father who also looked after his two brothers, the family home was some 400miles or 600km away from where his mother lived. He experienced the horror of loosing his mother at age 12.
It was on the day of her death that he made a decision to discover a better way to assist people to heal; he knew intuitively that there was a connection between his mothers divorce and massive distance separation from her three boys that caused the breast cancer to occur. He decided to study psychotherapy at university but instead through challenging circumstances he found himself working and then running the family wine and spirit business.
Although successful in business the decision he made when he was 12 was still burning in the back of his mind. Some 12 years later on in life at the age of 30 he was able to follow his dream and through studying extensively Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP - an advanced form of psychotherapy) while successfully running the family business he eventually became a master and qualified trainer of NLP, hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy® (an incredible system that at lighting speed releases emotions and negative decisions.)
It was at that time he came across the work of the doctor whose basic theories form the foundation behind META-Medicine®. He wanted to learn more but at that time you could not train or find other information regarding these theories, because they were hidden and also only available in German. However hungry to share what he knew then about META-Medicine® and to work in this field of how the mind and body work as one in creating and healing a disease, he approached some of the medical leaders in the field of cancer care, only to be told that that there was no mind-body connection and medical science would eventually find a cure for all diseases; the conclusion he was forced to take at that time was to leave this field alone, until such a time that the undeniable truth of a psychological link to disease was proven and the information he knew was out there would become more freely available.
Confused and disheartened by what were later to become his peers he went into training in businesses due to his successful background, so he taught NLP communication techniques to major blue chip organisations, such as JP Morgan Chase Manhattan Bank, Samsung, Sony Eriksson to name a few of his clients.
In 2004 in a chance meeting he met Johannes Fisslinger, the president of the International META-Medicine® Association. Johannes, a native German living in Los Angeles, California knew and wanted to spread the word of the amazing discoveries of META-Medicine® and with a skilled team of medical doctors and experts including Richard they brought META-Medicine® out of secrecy into the international arena by making the information accessible so it can easily be learnt. Richard brought his brilliant skills in training and education to become part of the birth of the association and is an active, integral member of the IMMA board.
Richard since that time has been involved in developing META-Medicine® worldwide, including training this groundbreaking material in Australasia, Europe, Scandinavia, North America and now the Middle East.
Richard is a pioneer of accelerated and advanced learning techniques producing some of the best practitioners of any discipline he decides to teach. Not only is he one of the most skilled practitioners of META-Medicine® and NLP, getting incredible results with terminal cancer clients, he also works with everyday people, who through their minor ailments he assists them to transform their lives at the deepest level. He is renowned for teaching theses complex skills with ease, to new practitioners and potential trainers, such that they too can get the same miraculous results he does.
Richard is a native of the UK lives in Canada, near Toronto with his lovely wife Kristin and his newly born son Oliver.

I am an Integrative Wellness Coach and a MindBody practitioner and see the body as the subconscious mind.
I am a MindBody Counselor who helps clients heal themselves of Cancer and other serious dis-ease using the precepts of German New Medicine and now integrating the additions of META-Medicine. För snart 4 år sedan gick jag en utbildning i \"stress- och friskvård\", kognitiv metod, och insåg hur fantastisk vår hjärna är. Det ledde mig vidare till NLP, hypnos och TIme LIne Theraphy. Att kunna jobba med tankar och känslor är otroligt spännande. Tankens kraft är enorm. | Jag har gått Resanterapi utbildningen i England för Brandon Bays och kombinerar den tillsammans med samtalsterapi. Det ger ett starkt verktyg för att hjälpa dig att hjälpa dig själv till ett hälsosammare, insiktsfullt och mer glädjefyllt liv.
Hälsa innebär fullständigt välbefinnande såväl fysiskt, psykiskt, socialt och inte endast frånvaro av sjukdom” - är det motto jag lever efter och arbetar för.
En egen kris genom en fysisk sjukdom som infann sig och gjorde mig arbetsoförmögen under en tid, och kort därefter en nära döden upplevelse, fick mig att börja söka nya vägar i livet. Där av kom jag i kontakt med Resanterapi.
Inom Resanterapi har jag själv arbetat med den fysiska sjukdomen som jag ådrog mig i slutet av 90 –talet. Det visade sig att under den fysiska smärtan låg alla andra smärtor av sorg, skuld, skam, övergivenhet, dålig självkänsla, känslan av att vara offer för andras illvilja och en hel del andra känslor. Insikten om att Resanterapi kunde ta mig in i mitt allra innersta för att förlösa de blockeringar som jag fått av dessa känslor, utlösta av traumatiska och svåra upplevelser och händelser, var fantastisk.
Efter bara 3-4 gånger hos min då privata Resanterapeut började jag att förändras i mitt tankesätt och i mina känslor. Förändringen pågår fortfarande eftersom jag fortfarande tar hand om mig själv och mina känslor regelbundet.
Resanterapi, även kallad guidad introspektion, fick mig att börja leva igen efter flera år av ett insomnande i min egen fysiska sjukdomssmärta. Inom Resanterapi finns övertygelsen om att inom varje människa finns en stor potential till utveckling. Att en fysisk eller psykisk smärta vi upplever kan vara den signal från kroppen och själen vi behöver för att ta steget till vår egen utveckling.
